Valentine Medallion

We got over a foot of snow a couple of days ago here. and, it was snowing earlier. We might get another 1-2" again today. I like snow, but within reason, lol! Our very nice neighbor was kind enough to plow our drive for us when we got the foot of snow. I shoveled a path to the hen house this morning and I'm pretty sore. The hen house is a little ways from the house so I have to shovel a long path. After I post this I'm going to jump into a hot shower and see if that helps ease the muscles :). In the meantime, here's a card made with the Medallion stamp.

I used a card sketch from the December 2010 Card Maps on Page Maps. I hope you are all staying warm as toast and that you don't have to shovel snow. Have a wonderful weekend!!!!

Blessings!

Couple of Treat Ideas

Here are the other two projects that we did in class on Monday evening. The first one was done with the Scallop Square die and the Circle die. The Circle die was embossed with the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder. Both of the projects below are quick and easy to create, so if you need a bunch to give out, it won't take you long to get them done.

This was done with the new Candy Wrapper die from the Holiday mini 2010. It is still available for purchase too :-).
The inside holds some Valentine M&M's in a cello bag, tied with a silver twisty tie. The Candy Wrapper die is really the perfect size for treats. You can fit Hershey's Kisses or Nuggets or Gummy Bears or.... well, you get the point :-D. Have a great day!!! Did you get snow? We did!!!

Blessings!

Treat Box Card

My blogging friend Kim had posted some cool cards on her blog recently. They are so cool, I wanted to make one too :-). I chose to use a Valentine theme for my card. The card actually has a treat box that folds onto the card and the card has a little pocket to hold tags or gift cards. I know, cool, right? Here is the card with the tag tucked in.....
And here with the tag on the outside so you can see it better.....
Yes, that is chocolate in there!!!! Hershey's Nuggets fit perfectly- five of them to be exact :-). We made this in class on Monday evening, along with two other projects that I will be posting tomorrow. I'm at the rink, so I'm going to watch my daughter practice for a bit :-D. Have a great evening!!!!

Blessings!

Valentine Card

While waiting for my daughter at the rink, I've been working in My Digital Studio. I made a digital card with one of the new Designer Series Paper downloads. This digital paper matches the paper in the Occasions Mini Catalog. I used a card sketch too, but I can't remember where I found the card sketch!
I hope you are all having a wonderful day and that 2011 has started filled with blessings for you!

The New Petal Cone Die

Just a few more days and the brand new Occasions Mini for 2011 goes live- whoo hoo! Lots of cute stuff in it! (Drum roll please...) Introducing one of the new dies in the Occasions Mini- the brand new Petal Cone die- taaa daaa! Isn't it sweet? Can you imagine the possibilities with this?!!

I used Pirouette Pink to die cut my cone. The scalloped edge and the little banner in Very Vanilla that you see are part of the die- cool, huh? You can fold in the top flaps of the cone the same way you would fold in the flaps on the retired Petal Card die and the new Petal Card punch. If you add the scalloped edge though, you won't be able to fold the flaps inside the cone, but doesn't it look pretty on the outside :-) ?

This was the project that I started a couple of days ago and I just finished it. Instead of moving on to my next project, I grabbed my camera so I could post it for you :D.

I hope you are all rested up after the holiday season! I've been having a shoulder issue for the last two days, but I think I am rested up now :-). Wishing you all a wonderful day today!

Blessings!

Valentine Milk Carton

It's a lot of fun playing with the new Milk Carton die from the Occasions mini! It's just so stinkin' cute! Since Valentine's Day is coming up next month, I wanted to make some little treat boxes for my grandson. This is the same die that I used to make my little bird house ornament. I made the milk carton with Real Red card stock and covered the sides with paper from the 'Sending Love Specialty' Designer Series Paper in the Occasions mini. I used my 'Heart to Heart' punch to punch out some little hearts and then I simply inked the edges of the hearts. I punched a hole in the top with my Crop-a-dile and added a little tag... quick and easy!

Wishing you all a wonderful day!!!

Blessings!

'Sending Love' Little Scrapbook

Yesterday I posted my little Christmas scrapbook that I made with my 'Clear Scalloped Square' Bigz die. Just to show you that you can use this great die year round, I started work on another little scrapbook using the GORGEOUS 'Sending Love' Designer Series Paper. Even though you can't tell in my photo, the cover paper has glitter on it so it's super pretty. I haven't added anything yet to the cover embellishment wise because I am not completely sure what theme I am going to use it for. It would be a wonderful Valentine book, great for a baby girl, birthday, teen, moms.... lots of different possibilities.

The inside covers are also covered with a paper from the 'Sending Love' DSP. Isn't it pretty?

My inside pages are die cut from Very Vanilla and I used my Real Red Stampin' Write marker to make the lines on my journaling blocks. I used the same format as my Christmas book, but I left the square space on the journaling block blank for now until I figure out my theme for this book.

So there ya' have it. This is a die that everyone needs in their stamping supplies ;-). I hope you have a great day today!

Blessings!

Valentine Card

Another project with products from the Occasions 2010 Mini! The 'Sending Love Specialty' Designer Series Paper is GORGEOUS! Some of the papers are all sparkly with pretty glitter- ya' gotta love the glitter :-). The 'Sending Love' DSP (Designer Series Paper) coordinates with Real Red, Pretty in Pink, Chocolate Chip, and Very Vanilla card stocks. For my card below I used some papers from the 'Sending Love' DSP and another new embosslit from the Occasions mini for the Big Shot- 'Scalloped Heart of Hearts'. As previously mentioned in another post, the embosslits not only die cut the shape, they also emboss them as they cut in one easy step. I used my 'Scalloped Heart of Hearts' embosslit as a layer for my 'Full Heart' punch- they go together like peanut butter and jelly :-D.

You can't tell in my photos, but the paper that I used for the 'Full Heart' punch in front has glitttery flowers on it. It's so pretty in real life! The 'Scalloped Heart of Hearts' embosslit embosses cute little swiss dots on the inside of the heart. I'm sure you will see it soon without a layer over it :-D.

I frequently do the insides of my cards as they don't quite seem complete without the inside being all nice and pretty too ;-). The sentiment is from my new clear mount stamp set 'Well Scripted'. I just love the type used for the sentiments in this set- so elegant. The little heart was punched with my 'Heart to Heart' punch and is the smallest heart on the punch. The 'Photo Corners' punch adds just enough embellishment to make the sentiment really stand out.

On Thursday I will be posting my Valentine milk carton that I made, so hope you will stop back by then. Have a wonderful day today!!!

Blessings!
